Hamburg University of Applied Sciences is one of Germany’s largest higher educational institutions with applied focus. More than 14,000 students are enrolled in 47 programs, most of them majoring in fields from Engineering and Computer Science. Founded in 1970, HAW has continuously improved its strong focus on current fields of applied relevance and interdisciplinary skills, thereby guiding students at a high quality of scientific competence. HAW closely cooperates with numerous national and international companies, including Airbus/EADS, Siemens, and major car manufacturers. The Internet Technologies (INET) group at the Department of Computer Science performs research and development in technologies and applications for the Next Generation Internet, with a particular focus on mobility, multimedia, and security. Maintaining an applied, evolutionary perspective, INET seeks solutions of practical relevance. Rich experimental environments and strong analytical skills aid the members of the group in their research.
