Fingal County Council

The administrative area of Fingal is located to the north of the City of Dublin in Ireland. It covers an area of approximately 173 square miles and has a population of almost 168,000 making it the 5th. largest local authority area (on population) in the country. It came into being on the 1st January, 1994 following the abolition of the former Dublin County Council and the establishment of 3 new authorities to replace it. FCC as the Local Authority for Fingal, provides an extensive range of infrastructure services, and plays an active role in the development of the area’s industry, business, social, arts, heritage and cultural affairs. It also functions as the regulatory body for certain matters at local level.
