Herlev Hospital

Herlev Hospital is one of Denmark’s largest hospitals with 4,500 employees and 22 departments offering treatment of almost all diseases – with the most modern technology available. The hospital is one of the Capital Region’s four area hospitals that take care of acute care and emergency reception. Herlev Hospital is the local hospital for 425,000 citizens in Ballerup, Gladsaxe, Herlev, Egedal, Rødovre, Furesø, Gentofte, Lyngby Taarbaek and Rudersdal municipalities. In certain specialties, the hospital is serving 700,000 citizens throughout the Capital Region. In the field of cancer Herlev Hospital also treats citizens outside the Capital Region.
